La idea de hablar acerca de cómo la película tiende a beneficio de la industria del entretenimiento fuera de tragedias reales en una mala manera fue criado en mi cabeza después de ver un trailer de la película, "Pasajeros" (2016) en el cine con un buen amigo de las minas.

Por lo tanto, estoy sentado allí con mi caja de nachos y luz limonada stoked para hacerla en el tiempo para ver los trailers (nota al margen: es sólo conmigo o me encanta ver trailers, casi tanto como ver la misma película?). Escribiendo esto ahora, sin embargo, no recuerdo un solo tráiler fuera de la parte superior de mi cabeza, pero uno de ellos, y que un recuerdo me inestable tanto por su historia y su presentación.

El trailer de "Patriotas Day" (2016) me dejó la sensación de incomodidad e incluso asco. La historia involucra a un oficial de policía desempeñado mi Mark Wahlberg, quién está viendo la Maratón de Boston hasta varias bombas explotaron durante el evento, dañando a muchas personas de la zona. Desde este punto, Wahlberg debe encontrar a los terroristas a fin de hacer justicia a las víctimas de este horrible atentado.

Esta película está inspirada en los hechos reales de la Maratón de Boston los bombardeos que se produjeron en 2013, cuando dos terroristas atacaron a personas inocentes durante el evento anual creando olla a presión bombas y provocando lesiones graves a 264 personas y mató a 3 personas, incluyendo un niño de 8 años. Lo que me disgusta acerca de la película, "día del Patriota" es que yo podría decirle por el tráiler que estaría utilizando este trágico suceso a su ventaja y derivar todavía frescas las emociones de ese día. Esto se refiere principalmente a aquellos que fueron afectados personalmente por los bombardeos que incluyen a las víctimas y sus familias.

Esta película fue liberado 3 años después del ataque y la producción de una película tiene un montón de trabajo para completar, por lo que esto debe significar que la gente parte de esta producción tuvo que ha evocado la idea de hacer esta película poco después de los ataques tuvieron lugar en más de un año después de que se llevó a cabo. No puede convencerme de que la gente que ha trabajado en esto no piensan que al hacer esta película que abriría nuevas heridas.

"Así que está usted diciendo que usted quiere que la gente olvide acerca de esto? Posiblemente, repetir la historia porque nunca aprenderá de los horrores de antes?"

No. ese no es el problema. Un montón de películas documento tragedias de la vida real, incluyendo el hundimiento del Titanic y la caída de las torres gemelas (también conocido como 9/11 o los atentados del 11 de septiembre). Necesitamos conocer la historia de nuestros antepasados para aprender de sus errores o reconoce los males de la sociedad.

Los ataques del 11 de septiembre sucedió hace tan sólo 15 años, pero es hablado en las escuelas cada año porque es la razón por la que tenemos más precauciones de seguridad en América y que solo nos hace preguntarnos qué se considera la seguridad o una invasión de la privacidad. Además, trajo consigo la discriminación contra otras razas y nos ponen en guerra con países durante años.

Hasta el fin de recordarle a la gente de nuestra historia no es torturarlas con imágenes horribles, sino que los ilumina de forma cómo estos hechos en el mundo que estamos hoy.

Sabiendo todo esto, todavía me desagrada "día del Patriota" porque, de nuevo, en lugar de enseñar a la gente acerca del evento y ayudarles a adquirir conocimientos sobre ella, están tratando de traer las intensas emociones de la gente. Están influyendo en su audiencia a recordar ese horrible día, porque, como he dicho, que no fue hace tanto tiempo que los ataques ocurrieron.

"Pues bien, si no desea que una película hecha sobre ella, ¿qué quieres?"

Un documental. Un documental hubiera bastado en lugar de una película de Hollywood que habla sobre un falso carácter. Si tuvieran que hacer algo acerca de este evento, conseguir entrevistas con las víctimas, sus familias, las personas que coordinan el evento, los habitantes de la ciudad. Iluminar al espectador sobre cómo esto afecta a todos, y cuando digo todos no me refiero a los que desde Boston o estadounidenses. Me refiero a todo el mundo.

Los países mirar nuestras noticias como nos fijamos en ellos y señalan nuestros éxitos, problemas y tragedias. Esto me lleva a un pequeño problema que tengo con la forma como el "día del Patriota" trailer se presenta.

Ahora no podemos negar el hecho de que los terroristas no habían nacido en Estados Unidos, y eso es completamente bien. No se preocupe, no voy a despotricar sobre cómo las personas nacen en otros países, pero dada nuestra situación actual en los Estados Unidos, creo que no es seguro para mostrar un trailer que se centra tanto en la obtención de los terroristas.

Hay muchas personas en Estados Unidos que han muerto esta idea sobre cómo luce un terrorista, cuando en realidad cualquiera puede convertirse en uno.

Un terrorista no es una raza, no es un género y no es una religión. *Un terrorista es, por definición, una persona que utiliza la violencia ilegal y la intimidación, especialmente en contra de civiles, en la consecución de objetivos políticos,

Las dos personas que causó el bombardeo de Boston, son ataques terroristas. Sólo tengo miedo de la gente piensa que las personas que tienen un aspecto similar a ellos son todos los terroristas...

Debe sonar loco, ¿verdad? No hay manera de que cada uno de una determinada raza, entre ellos niños, serían terroristas, ¿verdad?

Así, muchas personas creen que ese tipo de cosas.

En última instancia, simplemente no estoy de acuerdo con esta película ser liberados tan pronto después de estos ataques. Es Bad Timing en cada aspecto. Si esta película fueron liberados quizás...10 años abajo de la línea, yo podría dejarlo deslizar, pero ahora no me parece la mejor idea.

Si una película se hizo sobre los bombardeos de Boston, tiene que ser un documental. Por lo menos ayuda a la gente a entender lo que sucedió, cómo sucedió y lo que la gente hizo acerca de él. "día del Patriota" se centra más en la lucha para detener a los terroristas, que me incomoda pensar en ello.

The idea to talk about how the movie entertainment industry tends to profit off real tragedies-in a bad way-was brought up in my head after watching a trailer for the movie, "Passengers" (2016) in the movie theater with a good friend of mines.

So, I'm sitting there with my box of nachos and light lemonade stoked to make it in time to see the trailers (side note: Is it just me or do I love seeing trailers, almost as much as seeing the movie itself?). Writing this now though, I can't remember a single trailer off the top of my head but one, and that one I remember unsettled me so much because of its story and presentation.

I could feel my stomach twist and turn, my skin starting to sweat, and the fear of looking at other theater-goers just by watching the contents of this trailer. What could possibly make me feel so slimy, you ask?

No, it was not "Fifty Shades Darker" (2017) the sequel to an erotic novel people either find ludicrous or incredibly alluring. To be honest, that's a story I find more amusing than uncomfortable.

The trailer for "Patriots Day" (2016) left me feeling uncomfortable and even disgusted. The story involves a police officer played my Mark Wahlberg, who is viewing the Boston Marathon until several bombs exploded during the event, harming many people in the area. From this point, Wahlberg must find the terrorists in order to bring justice to the victims of this horrible attack.

This movie is inspired by the true events of the Boston Marathon Bombings that occurred in 2013, where two terrorists attacked innocent people during the yearly event by creating pressure cooker bombs and causing major injuries to 264 people and killed 3 people as well, including an 8 year old child. No one could have predicted this to happen, but from what I recall the officers who responded to the attack didn't take long to find the culprits Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev and give them the punishment they deserved.

Do I dislike the trailer because it's talking about something tragic? No.

Do I dislike it because it's based on a true story? Also no.

What I dislike about the movie, "Patriot's Day" is that I could tell by the trailer that it would be using this tragic event to its advantage and derive still fresh emotions from that day. This refers mainly to those who were personally affected by the bombings which include the victims and their families.

This movie was released 3 years after the attack and producing a movie takes a lot of work to complete, thus this must mean that the people a part of this production had to have conjured the idea to make this movie shortly after the attacks took place, at most a year after it took place. You cannot convince me that the people who worked on this did not think that by doing this movie they would open up fresh wounds.

"So are you saying that you want people to forget about this? To possibly repeat history because they'll never learn of the horrors from before?"

No. That's not the problem. A lot of movies document real life tragedies, including the sinking of the Titanic and the fall of the Twin Towers (also known as 9/11 or the September 11th attacks). We need to know the history of our ancestors to learn from their mistakes or recognizes the evils in society.

Even though the 1997 version of Titanic focuses more on the love story of Jack and Rose, it still reveals several realities: how there is prejudice against the lower class and how they were at a disadvantage to survive just because of their class too, abusive relationships, and how far some humans would go to protect those they care about.

The September 11th attacks happened only 15 years ago, but it's talked about in schools yearly because it's the reason we have more safety precautions in America and that alone makes us question what is considered safety or an invasion of privacy. Plus, it brought about discrimination against other races and put us at war with countries for years.

So the purpose of reminding people of our history isn't to torture them with horrible images, but rather enlighten them of how these events shaped up into the world we are today.

Knowing all of that, I still dislike "Patriot's Day" because again, instead of teaching people about the event and helping them gain knowledge about it, they're trying to bring intense emotions out of people. They're influencing their audience to remember that horrible day, because like I said, it wasn't that long ago that the bombings occurred.

"Well then, if you don't want a movie made about it, what do you want?" 

A documentary. A documentary could've sufficed instead of a Hollywood made movie that talks about a fake character. If they had to make anything about this event, get interviews with the victims, their families, the people who coordinated the event, the townspeople. Enlighten the viewer on how this impacts everybody, and when I say everybody I don't just mean people from Boston or Americans. I mean everybody.

Countries look at our news like we look at theirs and they point out our successes, problems and tragedies. This brings me to a minor problem I have with how the "Patriot's Day" trailer is presented.

Now we can't deny the fact that the terrorists were not born in America, and that's completely fine. Don't worry, I'm not going to rant about how people are born in other countries, but given our current situation in America, I don't think it's safe to show a trailer that focuses so much on getting the terrorists.

There are so many people in America who have this dead set idea on how a terrorist looks, when in reality anybody can become one.

A terrorist isn't a race, it is not a gender and it is not a religion. *A terrorist by definition is a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims

The two people who caused the Boston Bombing Attacks, they are terrorists. I'm only afraid people will think that people who look similar to them are all terrorists...

It must sound crazy, right? There's no way everyone of a certain race-including children-would be terrorists, right?

Well, many people do believe things like that.

Ultimately, I just don't agree with this movie being released so soon after these attacks. It's bad timing in every aspect. If this movie were released maybe...10 years down the line, I could let it slide, but right now it doesn't seem like the best idea.

If a film were to be made about the Boston Bombings, have it be a documentary. At least it helps people understand what happened, how it happened and what people did about it. "Patriot's Day" focuses more on a the fight to stop terrorists, which makes me uncomfortable thinking about it.

He visto acoplados a los remolques para esta película y no una vez, no me siento inclinado a verlo. Quizás era porque el hecho de que no presté mucha atención, pero un remolque debe saber cómo agarrar la atención de todos modos. Cuando los anuncios de "Pasajeros" desempeñaría en la televisión, era un suplemento para ruido blanco básicamente. Sin embargo, acabo de pasar tiempo con una buena amiga y ella quería ver "Pasajeros" o "cantar" (2016). Si usted sigue mi blog, sabría que ya he visto "cantar" y habló de ello en gran medida. Por lo tanto, mi amigo y yo hemos visto "Pasajeros" y pensé, "Me pregunto cómo será la historia."

francamente, con todas sus innumerables remolques, no pude detectar cuál era la trama. Este fue un gran factor en por qué no quiero ver la película en primer lugar. A lo más, se trataba de dos personas atractivas en un buque y comienzan un romance...supongo.

Resultó que mi idea era un poco correcta. De hecho, toda la trama de "Pasajeros" implica un barco lleno de 50000 pasajeros con un plan a la cabeza a un nuevo planeta, y existe una anomalía que provoca que uno de los pasajeros para despertar 90 años antes de llegar a dicho planeta.

Esto es bastante para tomar, especialmente para los personajes. Tantos años en un barco con poca interacción y sin posibilidad de llegar a su destino?

Que eso es una locura, pero los personajes se comportan como estaba loco, por no mencionar un evento de cambio de vida o hicieron bastante stand sin comprender en la cámara y fingió estar en peligro, dejando al público fuera del momento?

La película sentí innovadoras para mí, tener una parcela que se diferencia de cualquier otro (al menos en los últimos años). Puedo conseguir que cada tipo de cuento ha sido prácticamente hecho en este momento, pero esta historia no siente caseoso o típico. No era previsible, la cronología de los acontecimientos borra cualquier percepción tuve la idea sobre cómo pensaba la historia saldría. Me impresionó cómo ninguno de mis predicciones salieron a la luz. Aunque algunos puntos en la historia no todo tiene sentido para mí, me dejaron un poco confundido por la situación.

Las escenas de acción no son lo que esperas, no hay duelo entre pasajeros o una gran batalla para ir en contra, pero el villano es tan natural como se puede conseguir con una historia como esta y los personajes necesitan utilizar su ingenio y fuerza para derrotarlo. No hay una conspiración contra ellos, pero realmente es una serie de circunstancias desafortunadas que los caracteres deben tratar de evitar la ruina segura.

Personajes principales Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) y Aurora Lane (Jennifer Lawrence) comunicó bien juntos, haciéndome creer su química y cómo crecen atraídos el uno al otro. Ambos son divertidos y compartir momentos juntos potente que golpea sobre cuán importante es tener gente a tu alrededor y lo doloroso que sería si sólo una persona en un gran mundo.

Las razones de por qué estaban en el barco, en primer lugar, no parece lo suficientemente fuerte y sólo sentía tipo de egoísta a mí. Sus motivos no parecen emanar de cualquier problema real y fácilmente podrían haber resuelto en la tierra, pero supongo que si esta oportunidad llega y es tan fácil de comenzar una nueva vida, entonces supongo que tendría más sentido que la gente pueda usar esto para cumplir sus deseos.

Lawrence Pratt y actuaciones realmente trajo la genuina emoción dentro de mí. Yo estaba triste. Me trajo hacia abajo y si no fui cuidadoso, incluso podría haberme hecho derramar una lágrima.

Para ser claro, estoy diciendo esto para no ser sarcástico y afirmar que han actuado tan terriblemente lloré. Estoy diciendo que realmente se abrazaron sus personajes e hizo exactamente lo que me o muchas otras personas lo harían si estuvieran en esa situación.

La dirección con el paisaje era fenomenal. La película presenta los detalles hermosos de la nave y Preston Lane, quedaron atrapadas en el interior de la nave. Las comodidades del buque eran realmente divertido para mirar y me hizo querer experimentarlas, pero entre todos la diversión de ella hay que todavía inminente realización en la parte posterior de la cabeza de los personajes diciendo, "Hey, estás aquí para siempre."

"Pasajeros" era diferente a cualquier película que he visto en mucho tiempo. Se voltea la cabeza alrededor y conseguí que me encanta lo que me gustaría ver de nuevo si tuviera. La actuación fue estupenda, paisajes, demasiado, a veces la historia era un poco extraño con el motivo por el que las cosas tienen que suceder de esta manera y tal, además de las motivaciones de carácter son una especie de débil. Sin embargo, esto me hizo la pregunta moral, el amor, la soledad, si vale la pena dejar a tus seres queridos a seguir su sueño y cómo hacer lo mejor con lo que tienes. Voy a dar esta película un 4 1/2 de 5 estrellas.

Chris Pratt Butt.

Habría sido más inteligente para mostrar Preston interactuando con otras mujeres en la cámara antes de reunirse Lane, porque muestra que, en comparación con todas las hembras que prefería Lane la mayoría. En esta escena, él sólo va directamente a Lane porque ella está allí y, aparentemente, nunca se reunió en la Tierra antes, así que no tengo por qué estaba tan encaprichado con ella automáticamente y no intentar buscar otras chicas con las que podrían tener interés en. Tengo que fue privado de la interacción humana, pero parece poco realista para encontrar la primera chica y decir que me quedo con ella todo el tiempo.

Lane va a ponerse furioso cuando descubre qué Preston hizo.

Smart Preston, decirle a Arthur para no decir el secreto para ella.

Cómo Lane es un miembro Gold Star? Pensé que era justo cuando realice actividades que le ayudarán a tener membresía Gold Star, no solo por ser miembro de quién eres. Eso ya va a ocasionar discriminación entre la comunidad.

Todo este acto sexual y lo que me pregunto, "¿el barco con gente de suministro de preservativos y el control de la natalidad?" ¿Qué si Preston Lane y tuvo un bebé en el barco? Hay bebés que duermen en la cámara? ¿Qué pasa con los niños? No son sólo los adultos en este barco?

Es el cumpleaños de carril basados en su cumpleaños real o cuando ella despertó de la cámara?

Lane la reacción al enterarse de que ella fue despertada por Preston rompió mi corazón.

Lane no pueden matar Preston porque sabe que estará solo si ella lo hace.

Después de ver el vídeo de Lane adiós a sus amigos, tengo la sensación de que podría haber sido un tirón en la tierra. Pensar en ello, su motivación para ir a Homestead II es tener una historia y regresar a la tierra después de un año. Haciendo esto, ella perderá todos sus amigos y su familia. Ella sabe nadie sobre la tierra porque todos ellos murieron. ¿Sabe usted que suena superficial en comparación con otras historias que los pasajeros puedan tener.

Aquí hay un par de ejemplos de razones por qué alguien querría dejar:

"Me voy porque estoy distanciado de mi familia. Yo vivo una vida afirman que es malsano y quiero ir a la Tierra para ser libre y desenfadada."

"Me voy porque fui abusada por mi novio y yo he perdido la custodia a mi niño, debido a su abuso. Siento que no tengo nada para vivir, pero estoy demasiado miedo a morir para alejarse de las cosas que me recuerdan de este dolor, voy a un nuevo planeta".

Ahora, esta es la razón por la que ella Lane deja la tierra:

"Me voy porque quiero hacer una historia y después me año voy a volver a la tierra y decirle a la gente que yo era la primera persona a salir y volver a entrar." No ese sonido atascado? Como ella está buscando la validación de que ella es una persona cool?

¿Por qué es el miembro de la tripulación, Mancuso enfermo? Él tiene un montón de trastornos, pero ¿por qué?
Todavía no puedo entender.

Es triste darse cuenta de que un gran motivo Lane quiere Preston estar vivo es porque ella necesita interacción social y Preston es el único hombre que puede satisfacer sus necesidades, mentalmente, emocionalmente y sexualmente. Ella no tiene otras opciones, e incluso si ella es todavía enfadado por lo que le hizo a ella, la pegada con él de por vida. Te hace pensar que no importa cuán diferente podría estar con alguien, si son su única opción podrás aprender eventualmente a amarlos.

Si Lane nunca fue despertado, entonces todo el barco habría bajó. Preston necesitan su para reparar el barco, así de una manera cruel, se necesitaba una persona más con Preston.

La sala de enfermería puede revivir una persona muerta...entonces ¿por qué no lo hacen por Mancuso?!

Me sentí lágrimas llegando cuando Preston Lane y abrazado en la piscina y miraba hacia el espacio. Creo que incluso si era sólo esos dos, todavía habría ido locos.

Cuando uno de ellos murió, la persona viva para lanzar los muertos hacia el espacio. Así que para la última persona en pie, estaban mintiendo en algún punto muerto o no suicidarse lanzándose a sí mismos en el espacio?

Warnings- Mild sexual scenarios

I've seen trailers upon trailers for this movie and not once did I feel inclined to watch it. Perhaps it was because of the fact that I didn't pay too much attention, but a trailer should know how to grab that attention anyways. When advertisements for "Passengers" would play on tv, it was a supplement for white noise basically. However, I recently spent time with a good friend and she wanted to watch either "Passengers" or "Sing" (2016). If you follow my blog, you'd know that I've already seen "Sing" and talked about it to a great extent. Therefore, my friend and I watched "Passengers" and I thought to myself, "I wondering how the story will be."

Frankly, with all of its countless trailers, I couldn't pin point what the plot was. This was a big factor in why I didn't want to see the movie in the first place. At most, it was about two attractive people on a ship and they start up a romance...I guess. 

It turned out that my idea was a tiny bit correct. In fact, the full plot of, "Passengers" involves a ship full of 50000 passengers with a plan to head to a new planet, and there is a malfunction that causes one of the passengers to wake up 90 years before they arrive on said planet.

That's quite a lot to take in, especially for the characters. So many years on a ship with little interaction and no chance of getting to your destination? 

That's crazy, but did the characters act like it was crazy, not to mention a life-changing event or did they rather stand blankly in the camera and pretended to be in danger, leaving the audience out of the moment?

The movie felt innovative to me, having a plot that was unlike any other (at least for the past few years). I get that every type of story has pretty much been done at this point of time, but this story doesn't feel cheesy or typical. It wasn't predictable either, the timeline of events erased any perceived idea I had on how I thought the story would turn out. I was impressed by how none of my predictions came to light. Although, some points in the story didn't entirely make sense to me, leaving me a little confused at the situation. 

The action scenes aren't what you would expect, there's no duel between passengers or a huge boss battle to go up against, but the villain is as natural as it can get with a story like this and the characters need to use their wit and strength to defeat it. There's no one plotting against them really, but it's a series of unfortunate circumstances that the characters must deal with to avoid certain doom.

Main characters Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) and Aurora Lane (Jennifer Lawrence) communicated well together, making me believe their chemistry and how they grow attracted to one another. They're both funny and share powerful moments together that hits on how important it is to have people around you and how painful it would be if you were only one person in a grand world. 

The reasons for why they were on the ship in the first place didn't seem strong enough and only felt kind of selfish to me. Their reasons didn't seem to stem from any real problem and they could have easily solved it on Earth, but I suppose if this opportunity comes up and it's this easy to start a new life, then I guess it would make more sense that people would use this to fulfill their desires.

Pratt and Lawrence's performances actually brought up genuine emotion within me. I was sad. It brought me down and if I wasn't careful, it even could have made me shed a tear. 

To be clear, I'm saying this not to be sarcastic and say that they acted so terribly I cried. I'm saying that they really embraced their characters and did exactly what me or many other people would do if they were in that situation. 

The direction with scenery was phenomenal. The movie presented the beautiful details of the ship Preston and Lane were trapped in, the inside of the ship as well. The amenities of the ship were really fun to look at and made me want to experience them, but amongst all the fun of it there is still that looming realization in the back of the characters' heads saying, "Hey, you're here forever."

"Passengers" was unlike any movie I've seen in a while. It flipped my head around and got me to love it enough that I'd actually watch it again if I had to. The acting was great, scenery too, sometimes the story was a little odd with why things have to happen this way and such, plus the character motivations are kind of weak. Yet, this made me question morality, love, loneliness, if it's worth leaving your loved ones to follow your dream and how to make the best with what you got. I will give this movie a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

It would have been smarter to show Preston interacting with other females in the chamber before meeting Lane, because it shows that compared to all the females he preferred Lane the most. In this scene, he just goes straight to Lane because she is there and apparently, they never met on Earth before so I don't get why he was so infatuated with her automatically and didn't try to look for other girls he might have interest in. I get that he was deprived of human interaction, but it seems unrealistic to find the first girl and say that I'll stick with her the whole time. 

Lane is going to be enraged when she finds out what Preston did. 

Smart Preston, you tell Arthur not to tell the secret to her.

How is Lane a gold star member? I thought that was just when you do activities that help you gain gold star membership, not just being a member for who you are. That's already going to cause discrimination amongst the community.

All of this lovemaking and making me wonder, "Does the ship supply people with condoms and birth control?" What if Preston and Lane had a baby on the ship? Are there any babies sleeping in the chamber? What about kids? Are there only adults on this ship?

Is Lane's birthday based on her actual birthday or when she was woken up from the chamber?

Lane's reaction to finding out she was woken up by Preston broke my heart.

Lane can't kill Preston because she knows that she will be alone if she does this.

After seeing Lane's goodbye video from her friends, I'm getting the feeling that she might have been a jerk on Earth. Think about it, her motivation to go to Homestead II is to have a story and return to Earth after a year. Doing this, she will lose all of her friends and family. She will know nobody on Earth because they all died. Do you know how superficial that sounds compared to other stories those passengers might have. 

Here are a couple examples of reasons why someone would want to leave:

"I'm leaving because I am shunned from my family. I live a lifestyle they claim is unhealthy and I want to go to Earth to be free and unashamed."

"I am getting sicker every day due to gases within Earth's air supply.  I want to live a happy life on a more sustainable planet and therefore, I'd like to move from Earth."

"I'm leaving because I was abused by my boyfriend and I lost custody to my child because of his abuse. I feel like I have nothing to live for, but I'm too afraid to die so to get away from things that remind me of this pain, I'm going to a new planet."

Now this is Lane's reason why she's leaving Earth:

"I'm leaving because I want to make a story and after I year I will return to Earth and tell people that I was the first person to leave and come back." Doesn't that sound stuck up? Like she's looking for validation that she's a cool person? 

Why is the crew member, Mancuso sick? He has a lot of disorders, but why? 

I still don't really understand.

It's sad to realize that a big reason why Lane would want Preston to be alive is because she needs social interaction and Preston is the only man who can satisfy her needs, mentally, emotionally and sexually. She has no other options and even if she's still mad at what he did to her, she's stuck with him for life. Makes you think that no matter how different you might be with someone, if they're your only option you'll eventually learn to love them.

If Lane was never woken up, then the whole ship would have went down. Preston needed her to repair the ship, so in a cruel way, there needed to be one more person with Preston.

The infirmary chamber can revive a dead person...then why didn't they do that for Mancuso?!

I felt tears coming when Preston and Lane hugged in the pool and looked out into space. I think even if it was only those two, they still would have gone crazy.

When one of them died, the living person had to throw the dead into space. So for the last person standing, were they lying somewhere dead or did they commit suicide by throwing themselves out in space?
