Esta película fue uno de los que nunca tuve intención de mirar, porque nunca he oído hablar de ella de ser liberado hasta hace poco. No recuerdo ningún anuncios resaltando en la televisión o en internet, así que me podría haber pasado el resto de mi vida nunca se sabe acerca de esta película.

Gracias a una amable petición sin embargo, finalmente he descubierto "el desvanecimiento de Sidney Hall" y lo vi para ver su apelación.

A partir del 23 de marzo, "Tomates podridos" ha mostrado críticos esta película una calificación de 9 por ciento de un total posible de 100, mientras que la audiencia comentarios son enormemente diferentes, con el 82 por ciento de audiencias gustando la película. Basado en un sitio web, ya hay mucho contrastando opiniones acerca de esta película y me gustaría lanzar en mis dos centavos y siento mi propia perspectiva sobre ella.

Con dicho esto, hizo "El desvanecimiento de Sidney Hall" de sorprenderme con su estelar storytelling o desaparecer de mi mente en las próximas semanas?

Lanzado originalmente el 25 de enero de 2017 en el Festival de Cine de Sundance, esta película es acerca de un joven escritor llamado Sidney Hall (Logan Lerman) que afirma el éxito a una edad temprana sólo desaparecen de repente. No lineal a través de una serie de eventos, el público está dado partes y trozos de Hall, la vida que todos visualmente describir cómo él termina desapareciendo de la faz de la tierra. Los acontecimientos revelan Hall's las distintas etapas de su vida, desde cuando él es un adolescente a un adulto joven, así como los diversos personajes que eventualmente ayudó a impulsar a sí mismo alejado de la sociedad.

Sinopsis la trama suena como un cuento me interesaría saber más acerca del puesto que he tenido sueños de ser un novelista desde que yo estaba en el cuarto grado, por lo que el escritor en mí quería saber cómo Hall llegar del punto A al punto B.

¿Qué hace alguien quiere renunciar a la promesa de fama y fortuna?

Esta es una película de dos horas que pueden arrastrar en varios puntos. El comienzo fue cautivante con su trabajo de cámara, y cómo el personaje principal es introducido. Esa parte fuertemente representada lo que podíamos esperar fuera de la sala y que esta película podría asumir un enfoque artístico a su narrativa. Aunque, como la historia va, más me sentí ganas la película para envolver.

Creo que esto tiene que ver principalmente con la pigmentación de las escenas, ya que casi todos ellos dan fuera de este confuso, tono gris que para mí representó Hall's aparentemente aburrida existencia y cómo sólo empeora a medida que envejezca. Las escenas sólo creo que tuvo la configuración más brillante del Ayuntamiento mostró puntos altos en su vida.

A partir de esto, puedo ver la película establece su tono adecuadamente al tono de Hall, como sale de pesimista y outcasted de compañeros y familiares. Los colores apagados me hizo sentir sombrío, y también wearier más me miraba, que es un poco negativo para mí.

Esta estrategia de tener el público a relacionar el personaje es suficiente, pero para mí, yo no era un ventilador grande de salón para la mayoría de la película, de modo que no tengo esa sensación de "Estoy tan enojado que Hall está tratando con esto y espero verlo más tarde triunfar", sino de "Estoy tan enojado que estoy molesto con Hall, porque me parece que es un dolor a tratar." En resumen, es difícil para mí entender las motivaciones del ayuntamiento para las cosas que él lleva a cabo durante todo el período de duración de esta película y definitivamente no me ayude a simpatizar con él pronto.

En una nota positiva, la segunda mitad de la película se desarrollaba Pasillo más que eventualmente me termino de sentir pena por él, después de lo que pasa a través de la película. Supongo que es el punto con películas no lineal, ¿verdad? En un primer momento no le gusta el personaje, pero al final obtendrá su razonamiento para lo que hemos hecho.

El final casi me hizo llorar demasiado, que era algo que no esperaba al ver los primeros 10 minutos de esta. La primera parte puede ser una lucha para empujar a través, especialmente si no se está acostumbrado a la narración donde las escenas se remontan en el tiempo, pero la segunda mitad es mucho más fuerte en lo que respecta a mi inversión.

Centrando más en profundidad en el Hall, él vino como un personaje tuvo aversión al principio, porque, como he dicho, no me podía relacionar con su punto de vista cínico sobre las cosas. Aunque algunos de sus ideologías son cómicas como creer prom es inútil para asistir porque es sólo para el culto popular de los estudiantes, hay mucho pesimismo podría crecer agotado desde la cantidad de negatividad. Esto no quiere decir que él no tiene una razón para sentirse así, pero supongo que no soy un fan de gente negativa teniendo en el punto de mira de la película entera.

Estar alrededor de gente que son negativos-mente realmente puede tomar un peaje en su propio pensamiento y tienen un personaje principal sin un ápice de positividad en los primeros cinco a diez minutos no es atractiva. Sin embargo, Hall mejora una vez su interés del amor, la melodía (Elle Fanning) entra en su vida. Esta inclusión de Melody Hall hace brillar en la medida que revela que, aparte de la escritura, él tiene una pasión por algo que le hace feliz y es agradable de ver.

La melodía es un componente importante para la película y fue bueno ver como bien. Al principio, pensé que iba a ser un típico amor de interés que sólo está allí porque las películas siempre necesitan el romance y ella acaba de estar allí hablando con Hall como, "voy a apoyar a través de nada porque yo te amo", pero ella tenía una personalidad única con buenas y malas cualidades que realmente desempeñan un papel significativo en el resto de la película. Su relación con Hall es raro, pero es normal sentir incómoda cuando están en la escuela secundaria. Como sus vidas el progreso, su conexión emocional es mucho más madura, pero también complicada.

Tengo una queja acerca de la melodía no es necesariamente acerca de su carácter, pero más sobre su backstory. A lo largo de la película, nunca he visto a ninguno de sus familiares, a pesar de ellos se menciona un par de veces. Es evidente que ella vive con sus padres dadas las pocas piezas de diálogo que menciona, así que me pregunté dónde estaban ellos como su hija era dating Hall? En donde estaban como ella se convirtió en un adulto adulto? No parecia melodía había enajenado una relación con ellos, y aunque ella es sólo un lado de carácter, sería útil ver a su familia por lo menos una vez y cómo interactuar con Hall.

También hay otro personaje llamado Brett Newport (Blake Jenner) que tuve un problema con respecto a su participación en la historia. Él es también un imperativo en persona que cambia la vida de Hall Hall quien es como una persona, sino por el final de la película, no me gusta bastante el hecho de que él era tan importante para la historia. Su carácter no parecen conectar con lo que la película me habló de él, porque se supone que simpatizan con este personaje, pero su backstory no se ajusta a lo que vemos en la pantalla.

A diferencia de una mejor comprensión de las motivaciones Hall, me dieron más confundidos acerca de Newport's motivaciones porque él aparece como este athletic jock que los intimidadores de la gente, pero también tiene un fondo trágico. Es común que la tragedia ocurra a quienes hostigan a otros porque esa es su manera de ventilar su enojo, pero no pude imagen Newport pasando por lo que la película direcciones que atravesó. Antes de los eventos del día actual de la película, Newport pide básicamente Hall para protegerlo por hacerle un favor y aún en el futuro aún lo hace divertido de Hall.

¿Cómo que incluso tiene sentido?

Yo podría conseguir si era "Hola, me ayude a obtener una A en un concurso", pero la situación estaba tratando de Newport, no veo el punto de pedirle a alguien que ayude a su zaga si solo vas a ser un tirón a ellos nuevamente. Mientras esta intimidación no parece increíblemente aparente entre Newport y Hall en la pantalla, Hall comenta que Newport nunca le gustó y selecciones de él mucho.

Si yo estaba en Newport, me gustaría tratar a la persona que me ayudó con el máximo respeto, porque si estoy significan para ellos de nuevo, podrían invertir su amabilidad y traicionar mi confianza aflojando nos prestaron su ayuda de antemano.

También, al final de la película, tengo esta sensación de que Newport no fue sólo un factor en la desaparición del Hall, pero el factor principal. ¿Por qué es tan importante este personaje Hall?

Me refiero- sé por qué, pero me roza el camino equivocado que alguien incompatible con su comportamiento es el punto de partida de la serie de eventos que sigue la ruta del ayuntamiento.

No me gusta esta película? ...A veces me hizo.

Esto no era una horrible película en todo; había un montón de talento expresado a través de la actuación que conseguí turbado al final. Algunos de los personajes en sí no son mi taza de té. Además, con una película de dos horas se pueden arrastrar en un montón y puede llegar a confundir si usted mira lejos por un tiempo, así que esto es algo que realmente prestar atención.

Creo que el crítico rayado en "Rotten Tomates" es realmente duro, ya que no puedo encontrar esta película a ser insoportable. Si yo estaba obligado a ver de nuevo, yo no me quejo, pero si tuve la posibilidad de verlo de nuevo me gustaría probablemente saltar fuera de ella, principalmente a causa de la duración. Esa fue una elección interesante para centrarse únicamente las imágenes en un círculo durante el comienzo de la película. No creo que haya visto antes.

Sidney hizo decir, "especie de casada"? Él está engañando a Melody?

Es el hombre barbado realmente Sidney, y la desaparición es sólo su mente, cayendo a pedazos?

Fue Melody vistiendo exactamente el mismo traje al poner en otra carta en el buzón de Sidney?

Quizás la tiña (Brett) es un espíritu y Sidney está haciendo todo esto por sí mismo?

"Cuando voy a climax?" prueba que Sidney nunca ha sentido vivo.

La tiña se mató? Bueno, eso es sorprendente.

Ahora lo entiendo, Sidney escribió el libro sobre la muerte de Jock's y probablemente él lamenta!

Por lo que he visto de la madre, este estallido parece salir de la nada y hace que su mirada absolutamente loco! Ella incluso causó lesiones a su hijo que es probablemente la razón por la que él tiene convulsiones.

No me gusta maldecir mucho en este blog, pero tanta maldición palabras pop up cuando pienso en Sidney's mom. Ella causó la muerte de su hijo, su esposa (porque quizás sin la lesión, Sidney no hubiera engañado), y la tiña. Esto realmente demuestra su inmadurez, y ella debe de haber crecido en el infierno. Los adolescentes hablar mierda sobre los padres frecuentemente, y saben que es una forma de ventilación así que por eso es en un diario privado!

Melody murió? Así que esta es la realidad de lo que ocurrió con ella dejando a Sidney en lugar de su caminar lejos de la relación? Ahora que lo pienso, Melody hizo salir de él, pero luego descubrió que estaba embarazada, volvieron juntos, se enteró de que él era el engaño, y luego murió. Lo conseguí.

Puedo conseguir que lo que Sidney hizo fue equivocada, pero que no desearía que su esposa morir delante de él como ese. Yo no deseo que en mi peor enemigo. Aunque...

Estoy suponiendo Sidney murió en el extremo porque parecía que Melody estaba sentado en el borde de la cama del hospital, simbolizando a él está en el cielo. También estoy curioso acerca de lo que era con el padre; creo que se mencionó que la madre le dejó. Lo que sucedió después de eso? Además, ¿qué piensa el Jock's hermana que estaba siendo agredida sexualmente por su padre? Si la tiña muerto, entonces estoy tan seguro de que ella habría matado a sí misma. Supongo que desde que el padre está en alta potencia, ella tiene que quedarse callado. Eso es triste.

This movie was one that I never intended on watching, because I've never heard of it being released until recently. I don't recall any commercials highlighting it on television or on the internet, so I could have gone the rest of my life never knowing about this movie.

Thanks to a friendly request however, I've finally discovered "The Vanishing of Sidney Hall" and watched it to see its appeal.

As of March 23, "Rotten Tomatoes" has shown critics rating this film a 9 percent out of a possible 100, whereas the audience reviews are vastly different, with 82 percent of audiences liking the movie. Based on one website alone, there is already vastly contrasting opinions about this film and I'd like to throw in my two cents and feel out my own perspective on it.

With that being said, did "The Vanishing of Sidney Hall" amaze me with its stellar storytelling or will it disappear from my mind in weeks to come?

Originally released on January 25, 2017 at the Sundance Film Festival, this film is about a young novelist named Sidney Hall (Logan Lerman) who claims success at an early age only to suddenly go missing. Through a non-linear series of events, the audience is given bits and pieces of Hall's life that all visually describe how he ends up disappearing off the face of the earth. The events reveal Hall's different stages in his life from when he is a teenager to a young adult, as well as the various characters that eventually helped drive himself away from society.

The plot synopsis sounds like a tale I'd be curious to learn more about since I've had dreams of being a novelist since I was in the 4th grade, so the writer in me wanted to know how Hall would get from point A to point B.

What makes someone want to give up the promise of fame and fortune?

This is a two hour long movie that can drag on at multiple points. The beginning was captivating with its camera work, and how the main character is introduced. That part strongly depicted what we could expect out of Hall and that this film would take on an artistic approach to its narrative. Although, as the story goes on, the more I felt myself wanting the film to wrap it up.

I think this mostly has to do with the pigmentation of the scenes, as nearly all of them give off this muddled, grey tone that to me represented Hall's seemingly dull existence and how it only gets worse as he gets older. The only scenes I think had brighter settings showed Hall's high points in his life.

From this, I can see the movie sets its tone properly to the tone of Hall, as he comes off pessimistic and outcasted from classmates and family members. The dull colors made me feel somber, and also wearier the more I looked at them which is a bit of a negative for me.

This strategy of having the audience relate to the character is sufficient, but for myself, I wasn't a big fan of Hall for most of the movie so I didn't have this sense of, "I'm so upset that Hall is dealing with this and I hope to watch him later succeed" but rather, "I'm so upset that I'm upset over Hall because he seems like a pain to deal with." In short, it was difficult for me to understand Hall's motivations for the things he proceeds to do throughout the duration of this film and it certainly didn't help me sympathize with him early on.

On a positive note, the later half of the movie fleshed out Hall more to which I eventually did end up feeling sorry for him after what he goes through in the movie. I suppose that's the point with non-linear films, right? At first you dislike the character, but by the end you get their reasoning for what they've done.

The ending nearly made me cry too, which was something I was not expecting when watching the first ten minutes of this. The first part can be a struggle to push through, especially if you're not used to storytelling where the scenes go back in time, but the second half is much stronger in regards to my investment.

Focusing more in depth on Hall, he came off as an unlikable character in the beginning because like I mentioned, I couldn't relate to his cynical point of view on things. Although a few of his ideologies are humorous such as believing prom is useless to attend because it's only to worship popular students, there is so much pessimism you could grow exhausted from the amount of negativity. This is not to say that he doesn't have a reason to feel this way, but I guess I'm not a fan of negative people taking the spotlight for the entire movie.

Being around people who are negative-minded can really take a toll on your own thinking and to have a main character like that without an inch of positivity in the first five to ten minutes isn't appealing. However, Hall improves once his love interest, Melody (Elle Fanning) enters his life. This inclusion of Melody makes Hall shine in that it reveals that aside from writing, he has a passion for something that makes him happy and it's pleasant to watch.

Melody is a major component to the movie and was good to watch as well. At first, I thought she'd be a typical love interest who is only there because movies always need romance and she'd just be there talking to Hall like, "I'll support you through anything because I love you," but she had a unique personality with good and bad qualities that actually play a significant role in the rest of the film. Her relationship with Hall is awkward, but it's normal to be awkward when they're in high school. As their lives progress, their emotional connection is much more mature, but also complicated.

A complaint I have about Melody is not necessarily about her character, but more about her backstory. Throughout the movie, I've never seen any of her family members despite them being mentioned a few times. It's evident that she lives with her parents given the few pieces of dialogue that mentions them, so I wondered where were they as their daughter was dating Hall? Where were they as she became a grown adult? It didn't seem like Melody had an estranged relationship with them, and even though she's only a side character, it would be helpful to see her family at least once and how they'd interact with Hall.

There's also another side character called Brett Newport (Blake Jenner) who I had an issue with in regards to his involvement in the story. He is also a imperative person in Hall's life that changes who Hall is as a person, but by the end of the movie I didn't quite like the fact that he was so important to the story. His character just doesn't seem to connect with what the movie told me about him, because we're supposed to sympathize with this character, yet his backstory doesn't fit to what we see on screen.

Unlike gaining a better understanding of Hall's motivations, I got more confused about Newport's motivations because he appears as this athletic jock who bullies people, but also has a tragic background. It's common for tragedy to occur to those who bully others because that's their way of venting out their anger, but I couldn't picture Newport going through what the movie addresses that he went through. Before the present day events of the film, Newport asks Hall to basically protect him by doing him a favor and yet in the future he still makes fun of Hall.

How does that even make sense?

I could get if it was, "Hey, help me get an A on a quiz," but with the situation Newport was dealing with, I don't see the point in asking someone to help your behind if you're just going to be a jerk to them again. While this bullying doesn't seem incredibly apparent between Newport and Hall on screen, Hall comments that Newport has never liked him and picks on him a lot.

If I was Newport, I would treat the person who helped me with the upmost respect, because if I'm mean to them again, they could reverse their kindness and betray my trust by undoing the help they gave beforehand.

Also, at the end of the movie I got this feeling that Newport was not only a factor in Hall's disappearance, but the main factor. Why is this character so important to Hall?

I mean- I know why- but it rubs me off the wrong way that someone inconsistent with their behavior is the starting point for the series of events that follows Hall's path.

Did I enjoy this movie? ...Sometimes I did.

This was not a horrible movie at all; there was a lot of talent expressed through the acting that I got choked up at the end. Some of the characters themselves aren't my cup of tea though. Plus, with a two hour long movie it can drag on a lot and you can get confused if you look away for a while, so this is something to really pay attention to.

I think that critic scoring on "Rotten Tomatoes" is really harsh, since I don't find this movie to be unbearable. If I was forced to watch this again, I wouldn't complain, but if I had the choice to watch it again I'd probably skip out on it- mainly because of the duration. Otherwise, I'd recommend it if you have some time on your hands to get invested in this mystery about a peculiar young man.

That was an interesting choice to only focus the imagery in a circle during the beginning of the movie. I don't think I've seen that before.

You masturbated to the little girl within? Isn't that pedophilia, and you're reading this in class? What is the motivation behind reading this? Is this about a girl in Sidney's class?

Is reading an erotic story in class worth failing class? For me, no.

Again, what is the motivation behind writing these odd stories? I've written a few weird stories myself, but not with the purpose of trying to publish them in school. What did Sidney think was going to happen when he tried to publish mature stories? It feels like they're trying to make Sidney too weird just for the sake of it.

"Takes out books that are unreal" Why describe what kinds of books the bearded guy burned? The point is he burned books, does it matter if they're subjectively unreal?

Did Sidney steal this bearded guy's story ideas?

Put the jock's jacket on Sidney's body and he could be one of those popular bullies. I don't see Sidney being this outcast appearance wise, wait a minute though. A lot of times people could look like they're the popular kid when they're not, so don't judge by appearances. They don't matter.

Is Sidney a playboy, just sleeping with lots of women?

It was cute how he went to the English teacher for help about deciphering the letter.

Is the secret admirer's name Melody or Melanie?

Maybe it was not a good idea to reveal the secret admirer first before Sidney went off searching for her. It would have added more mystery.

Is the girl Sidney sleeps with at the party the same actress from the Netflix Death Note movie? *Looks it up* She is!

Did Sidney say, "Sort of married"? Is he cheating on Melody?

Is the bearded man actually Sidney, and the vanishing is just his mind falling apart?

Was Melody wearing the exact same outfit when putting in another letter in Sidney's mailbox?

Maybe the jock (Brett) is a spirit and Sidney is doing all of this by himself?

"When am I going to climax?" Proof that Sidney has never felt alive.

The jock killed himself? Well, that's surprising.

I get it now, Sidney wrote the book about the jock's death and he probably regrets it!

From what I've seen from the mother, this outburst seems to come out of nowhere and makes her look absolutely insane! She even caused her son's injury which is likely the reason he has seizures.

The side-by-side of Melody and the mother's arguments with Sidney reveals his dysfunction with women.

So the jock's father was raping him as a kid? No, he raped a little girl...which was the sister of the jock? Where is this coming from?! I only saw the sister once in this 2 hour movie and there was no hint of this!

I almost thought the mom was the little girl that the jock's father raped in the video.

I don't like to curse a lot on this blog, but so many curse words pop up when I think of Sidney's mom. She caused the death of her son, his wife (because maybe without the injury, Sidney wouldn't have cheated), and the jock. This really shows her immaturity, and she should've grown the hell up. Teenagers talk crap about the parents often, and they know it's a way of venting so that's why it's in a freaking private journal!

Melody died? So is this the reality of what happened with her leaving Sidney instead of her walking away from the relationship? Now that I think about it, Melody did leave him but then she found out she was pregnant, they got back together, she found out he was cheating, and then she died. Got it.

I get that what Sidney did was wrong, but I wouldn't wish for his wife to die in front of him like that. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Well...

I'm assuming Sidney died at the end because it looked like Melody was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed, symbolizing him being in Heaven. I'm also curious about what was up with the father; I think it was mentioned that the mom left him. What happened after that? Also, what about the jock's sister who was being sexually assaulted by her father? If the jock died, then I'm so sure she would've killed herself too. I guess since the father is in high power, she has to keep quiet. That's sad.

Tomb Raider es uno de esos juegos que filtra nostálgico bliss para muchas personas; clasificación de forma similar a otros juegos como Mortal Kombat o Crash Bandicoot. El juego de acción aventura fue creada en 1996 con el mismo título, y desde entonces la serie ha sido actualizado a lo largo del tiempo, con su versión más reciente, "el aumento de la Tomb Raider" en 2015.

Como sucede con muchas cosas populares, yo no estaba al día en lo que fue todo acerca de Tomb Raider, ni cómo ha cambiado con el tiempo. La mayoría de lo que sabía era que Lara Croft explorado antiguas ruinas...creo. Entonces, ¿por qué puedo ver esta película a pesar de saber muy poco acerca de este famoso personaje?

Simple. Sólo quería verlo.

Esto no es una película que me gustaría saltar y decir, "tengo que ver esto!" pero algo acerca de este fin de semana pasado me alentó a salir de mi zona de confort y ver algo que normalmente no vaya. Hay un riesgo adicional para ver un juego inspirado en la película, ya que es infamemente conocido que las películas basadas en videojuegos no suelen llevarse bien.

Amanecer de los muertos, la serie Resident Evil, y aun las anteriores películas de Tomb Raider, protagonizada por Angelina Jolie se consideran horribles adaptaciones para sus inspiraciones. Así, voluntariamente pagar dinero para ver esta nueva versión de Tomb Raider podría haber sido visto como tirar mi dinero por el desagüe, pero con todos los miles de municiones, debe haber un atisbo de esperanza para algunos buenos para surgir, ¿verdad?

Fue "Tomb Raider" no pudo escapar de las garras de ser otro juego horrible película adaptada o ¿descifrar su forma de romper ese molde?

En esta versión de "Tomb Raider", stars Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) que intenta resolver el misterio de la desaparición de su padre. Como alguien que no conoce el Tomb Raider original historia, no puedo comentar si esto es exacto al original, pero si no lo es, entonces no creo que me gustaría estar enfadado.

La serie de acontecimientos que parecía que iba a estar en una película de acción-aventura y yo estaba invertido en Croft en su búsqueda por su padre todo el tiempo. Me gustó el ritmo de la historia y las escenas de acción, que fue muy divertido.

Las escenas de acción en este caso no se refiere sólo a la lucha, pero también momentos donde la adrenalina es alto en todo momento. Mi escena favorita en la película participan Croft jugando con sus amigos, donde tienen que perseguir a su alrededor de la ciudad, que fue creativo y mostraron más acerca de croft acerca de lo excitante y tuve gusto de ella pueda ser.

Cada personaje de mayor a menor estima necesario para que la historia siga adelante y hay una buena cantidad de fondo y se acumulan en la primera parte de la película que configura la segunda mitad sobre una base sólida. La segunda mitad de la película en sí era más se aceleró con la tensión y el misterio, como audiencias fueron en silencio como se preguntaron cómo Croft saldría de situaciones apretadas que una persona promedio puede desmoronarse bajo.

Personalmente, los puzzles y trucos creado para derrotar a Croft estaban bien ejecutadas, porque hasta el carácter revelaría la respuesta a estos retos difíciles, yo estaba en un perdido sobre cómo Croft sería capaz de avanzar con la historia.

Aunque Croft parecía estar cerca de una persona joven en su 20s, ella tenía mucha experiencia en nivel restante estratega de cabeza. Es beneficioso para señalar que la película no comienza con un fuerte Croft, rapidez de pensamiento. Como todos los seres humanos, hay una tonelada de pérdidas antes de que podamos triunfar; con Croft no fue diferente.

Ella obtiene derrotado, se siente débil, y no siempre es rápido en sus pies. El desarrollo en sí misma para volverse más fuerte tanto física como mentalmente que ella estaba en el principio es más satisfactorio ver que ver a alguien que siempre fue excelente en todo. ¿Qué hace que este desarrollo es incluso mejor que a través del aprendizaje acerca de su padre, la audiencia puede juntar cómo ella creció aprendiendo a valerse por sí misma y perseverancia para sobrevivir en cualquier situación difícil. Por lo tanto, su capacidad de lucha, uso de armas, y resolver puzzles no surgió de la nada.

La película también revela Croft la amabilidad con la gente en Londres, como ha demostrado haber adquirido varios amigos de diferentes orígenes. Ella usa su poder de adaptabilidad para ganar un amigo en un hacia abajo-en-su-suerte marinero llamado Lu Ren (Daniel Wu), quien fue un gusto de carácter.

Puedo decir que fue como un gran alivio cómico como íbamos a llegar en la película, y yo tenía miedo que componen la mayoría de su carácter, pero no lo fue. Él era una persona valiosa a la parcela y yo esperaba ver más de él si esta película tiene la intención de tener una secuela basada en el final de la película que es muy posible.

El villano de la película, Mathias Vogel (Walton Goggins) parecía un villano típico sólo existe para ser grande y malo con ninguna otra característica a él. Quiero decir, el villano menciona a gente querida a su corazón, pero esas personas no aparecen nunca en la película ni proporcionar cualquier motivación para el mal lo hace para obstaculizar Croft.

Me gustó que sólo era una persona normal, causando el caos en la historia y no un villano que parece fuera de la esfera del universo, como dice Thanos del universo Marvel o los extranjeros de signos. Creo que si hay una secuela que podría deslizarse, pero estoy contento de que la película no va por ese camino, demasiado pronto.

No tengo muchas quejas con esta película, tal vez si tengo que decir algo malo es que me sentí un poco tonto no entender la mayoría de los rompecabezas que Croft tuvo que resolver, incluso algunos twist al final que, incluso ahora, no estoy muy seguro de qué significa esto para el resto de la historia de Croft.

También, tuve un par de problemas menores tenía sobre las decisiones de los personajes, pero no me molesta mucho, aunque puede ser presentado para su argumento. Esta película fue una emoción ver y ciertamente sería recibir una calidad estelar y ser una estrella que brilla entre el resto de películas el juego adaptado.

Aunque nunca he jugado los juegos, la cantidad de retos en croft's path sentí muy recuerdan a los pocos clips juego me encontré en Internet. Los personajes eran agradables y puede incluso deseando una secuela, Let's sólo espero que no atornille.

Deseo que cortar la última línea que es como "irse a mi hija para siempre", porque cuando se muestre la foto del papá y Lara, juntos, la audiencia puede asumir lo que el papá quiere decir cuando dice de antemano, "Incluso si debo hacer la cosa más difícil que nunca." ¿Qué más podemos esperar de él para decir? Se abstienen de Taco Bell para el resto de mi vida?

Es Lara y que la chica con el pelo rizado...juntos? Yo tengo ese sentimiento sucediendo cuando estaban hablando.

Ese chico en el restaurante era tan lindo! Me gustaría estar de la misma manera si yo era abrumador sobre alguien.

Esa moto juego parece tan divertido! Una vez que vi supe que sería mi favorito absoluto de las escenas de la película.

Creo que el flashback con el padre se adaptarían mejor cuando Lara se encuentra en la parte superior del edificio en lugar de durante la moto chase; parece ser que se deshagan de la prisa y, además, la audiencia puede recopilar que ella está mirando el forastero preguntando si es su padre sin el flashback.

Un niño no sólo aceptaría que sus padres les deja tan fácilmente. Me gustaría, también no estar todos cool con el collar, ellos dirían, "que suena tonto" o "¿estás seguro de que funciona?" no sólo aceptando silenciosamente. Quiero decir, extraño viniendo de mí porque yo era, sin duda, creo que yo era el chico que acaba de aceptar las cosas y no discutir sobre ella, pero todavía.

No me digas que el marinero chico y Lara va a estar juntos...estoy harto de estos obligados los romances.

Van a matar a la lu Ren? Tendrían Unas agallas para hacer eso a un personaje que me propongo seguir toda la historia.

El villano se ve un poco como el actor de Rick Grimes en The Walking Dead (Andrew Lincoln), ¿no es así? Sólo desde ciertos ángulos, ¿verdad?

Bien. Lu y Lara creó ese lío en Mathias' plan para escapar, mientras que Lara escapa Lu permanece detrás....con ese conocimiento, ¿por qué habría de Mathias simplemente golpearlo? Justo antes de la desviación, asesinó a un hombre por enfermarse. Entonces, ¿por qué tendría que tener una oportunidad en Lu que quitaron una persona importante de su grupo? Porque de la parcela, por supuesto.

Hola papá, bueno verte! ¿Usted me vio matar a ese hombre justo ahora? Muy bien, ¿verdad?

Tomb Raider is one of those games that oozes out nostalgic bliss for many people; ranking similarly with other games like Mortal Kombat or Crash Bandicoot. The adventurous action game was first created in 1996 with the same title, and since then the series has been updated over time, with its most recent version, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" in 2015.

As it is with many popular things, I was not up to date on what Tomb Raider was all about nor how it has changed over time. The most I knew was that Lara Croft explored ancient ruins...I think. So, why did I watch this movie despite knowing very little about this famous character?

Simple. I just wanted to see it.

This wouldn't be a movie that I'd jump at and say, "I have to see this!" but something about this past weekend encouraged me to go out of my comfort zone and watch something I wouldn't normally go for. There's an extra risk to watching a game inspired movie, since it's infamously known that movies based off video games rarely go well.

Dawn of the Dead, The Resident Evil series, and even the previous Tomb Raider movies starring Angelina Jolie are considered to be horrible adaptions for their inspirations. So, willingly paying money to watch this new version of Tomb Raider could have been seen as throwing my money down the drain, but with every thousands duds, there must be a glimmer of hope for some good to arise, right?

Was "Tomb Raider" unable to escape from the clutches of being another awful game adapted film or did it decipher its way to break out of that mold?

In this version of "Tomb Raider," it stars Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) who attempts to solve the mystery of her father's disappearance. As someone who doesn't know about the original Tomb Raider story, I cannot comment on whether this is accurate to the original, but if it isn't then I don't think I'd be upset.

The series of events felt like it would be in an action-adventure flick and I was invested in Croft's pursuit for her father the entire time. I enjoyed the pacing of the story and the actions scenes, which were very fun to watch.

Action scenes in this case does not just refer to just fighting, but also moments where the adrenaline is at an all-time high. My favorite scene in the movie involved Croft playing a game with her buddies where they have to chase her around the city; that was creative and showed more about Croft's character about how exciting and likable she can be.

Each character from major to minor all felt necessary in order for the story to proceed and there is a good amount of background and build up in the first portion of the film that sets up the second half on solid footing. The second half of the film itself was more ramped up with tension and mystery, as audiences were silent as they wondered how Croft would get out of tight situations that an average person may crumble under.

Personally, the puzzles and tricks set up to defeat Croft were well-executed, because until the character would reveal the answer to these difficult challenges, I was at a lost on how Croft would be able to progress with the story.

Although Croft appeared to be around a person in their young 20s, she had a lot of experience in remaining level-headed strategist. It's beneficial to note that the movie does not start off with Croft being a strong, quick thinker. As all humans, there are a ton of losses before we can succeed; with Croft it was no different.

She gets defeated, feels weak, and is not always quick on her feet. The development within herself to become stronger both physically and mentally than she was in the beginning is more satisfying to watch than seeing someone who was always excellent at everything. What makes this development even better is that through learning about her father, the audience can piece together how she grew up learning to fend for herself and have perseverance to survive in any tough scenario. Thus, her ability to fight, use weapons, and solve puzzles do not come out of the blue.

The film also reveals Croft's congeniality with the people in London, as she's shown to have gained several friends from different backgrounds. She uses her power of adaptability to gain a friend in a down-on-his-luck sailor named Lu Ren (Daniel Wu) who was a likable character.

I can tell he was as big of a comic relief as we were going to get in the film, and I was afraid that would make up the majority of his character, but it wasn't. He was a valuable person to the plot and I looked forward to seeing more of him if this movie is intending on having a sequel- based on the ending of the movie that is highly possible.

The villain of the movie, Mathias Vogel (Walton Goggins) seemed like a typical villain just there to be big and bad with no other characteristic to him. I mean, the villain mentions people dear to his heart, but those people never appear in the movie nor provide any motivation to the evil deeds he does to hinder Croft.

I did like that it was just a regular individual causing the chaos in the story and not some villain that seems out of the realm of the universe, like say Thanos from the Marvel universe or the Aliens from Signs. I think if there is a sequel that could slide, but I'm happy the movie did not go down that route too early.

I didn't have many complaints with this movie, perhaps if I have to say something bad is that I felt a little dumb not understanding most of the puzzles that Croft had to solve, even some twist at the ending that even now I'm not entirely sure what this means for the rest of Croft's story.

Also, I had a couple of minor issues I had about the characters' decisions but it doesn't bother me a lot, though it can be brought up for argument. This movie was a thrill to watch and it would certainly receive a stellar grade and be a shining star amongst the rest of the game adapted movies.

Though I never played the games, the amount of challenges set in Croft's path felt very reminiscent to the few game clips I stumbled across on the internet. The characters were likable and you may even look forward to a sequel, let's just hope they don't screw it up.

I give "Tomb Raider" a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

I wish they cut off the last line that's like, "leaving my daughter forever" because when you show the photo of the dad and Lara together, the audience can assume what the dad means when he says beforehand, "Even if I must do the hardest thing ever." What else do we expect him to say? Abstaining from Taco Bell for the rest of my life?

Is Lara and that girl with the curly hair...together? I got that feeling going on when they were talking.

That guy at the restaurant was so cute! I'd be the same way if I was crushing on someone.

That bike game looks like so much fun! I knew once I saw it that it would be my absolute favorite scene from the movie.

I think the flashback with the father would be better suited when Lara is on top of the building instead of during the bike chase; it seems to throw off the rush and plus, the audience can gather that she is looking at the stranger wondering if it's her father without the flashback.

A kid would not just accept that their parent is leaving them that easily. They'd also not be all cool with the necklace, they'd be like, "that sounds dumb" or "are you sure it works?" not just silently agreeing. I mean, funny coming from me because I was definitely think I was the kid who just accepted things and didn't argue about it, but still.

Don't tell me the sailor guy and Lara are going to be together...I'm sick of these forced romances.

Are they going to kill off Lu Ren? They would have some guts to do that to a character I intend to follow the whole story.

Okay. Lu and Lara created that whole mess in Mathias' plan to escape, and while Lara escapes Lu stays behind....with that knowledge, why would Mathias just knock him out? Right before the diversion, he murdered a guy for getting sick. So, why would he take a chance on Lu who removed an important person from his group? Because of the plot, of course.

Hey dad, nice to see you! Did you see me kill that guy just now? Pretty cool, right?

La historia de la mística, "Una Arruga en el Tiempo" comenzó como un quinteto de libros infantiles sobre una chica joven en la búsqueda de su padre, junto con su hermano pequeño y un buen amigo suyo de etiquetado para el paseo. A través de este viaje, están guiados por tres igualmente extraño y reconfortante figuras femeninas que ayudan a definir esta historia como su propia obra original.

Esto es todo lo que he recogido de la lectura de un breve resumen acerca de los libros porque nunca he leído ninguna de ellas antes; para esta revisión quería adquirir un sentido de lo que la historia original se acerca, para que de esta forma si hay diferencias importantes presentados en la película que me sentía era innecesaria, puedo ser al menos un poco digna de comentar sobre eso. Independientemente, no he ido en profundidad con los libros para cualquier fan de leer esto, no habrá ninguna mención de comparaciones a menos que sea absolutamente necesario.

Yo quería poner que ahí fuera sólo para informarle de que no quiero sonar como sé los entresijos de esta serie 1962; en general yo era sólo un aficionado que no tenía expectativas para esta fantasía de película infantil. La mayoría de lo que sabía era que Oprah Winfrey iba a ser el protagonista en ella, así que me esperaba que su apariencia; ella es una bonita gran actriz considerando su trabajo anterior. Sin embargo, la película no puede sostenerse sobre una actriz' habilidades solo, así que hay margen para el error y yo estaba listo para cualquier cosa.

Por lo tanto, hice, "Una arruga en el tiempo" de sorprenderme con su espectacular parcela o lo hizo llevarme a desear que esta película nunca fue creada en la tierra?

Como los libros, la trama de la película centrada en torno a una joven llamada Meg Murray (Storm Reid) que está buscando a su padre, el Dr. Alex Murray (Chris Pine), quien ha estado ausente por unos pocos años. Durante el trayecto, Meg no sólo se centra en la obtención de su padre, pero también aprende sobre el valor de amar a ella y cómo ella es importante para su familia.

Creo que la parcela se conserva bien en la gran pantalla y tiene un fuerte mensaje para los espectadores que habla sobre el poder del amor y el poder de lo negativo la oscuridad puede contener dentro de nosotros mismos.

En la película, la oscuridad es básicamente contemplada como cualquier mala acción o emoción que nos embarga, como celosamente. El villano es una encarnación de la oscuridad, como no hay una verdadera forma de esta entidad, favoreciendo así la afirmación de que la oscuridad puede controlar cualquiera y nos corresponde a nosotros para empujar el pasado que a fin de hacer lo correcto por nuestro mundo.

Me pareció una gran moral para atacar, pero lo ha hecho bien. No tuve un problema comprender qué caracteres entiende por derrotar a la oscuridad, aunque tuve un pequeño problema con las implicaciones que estaban haciendo sobre él.

Personajes que dicen cosas como, "si usted lucha por derrotar a la oscuridad en sí mismo, puede cambiarlo en otras personas", y al final, se puede decir que algunos caracteres tienen automáticamente transformada en kinder a los seres humanos.

Me da que es una película de fantasía, así que no estoy molesto por esta idea, pero preocupa más que los niños que podría aplicarse al mundo real, pensando, "Si me comportarse así, entonces el chico que siempre me golpea durante el recreo se comportan muy bien!" porque, por desgracia, el mundo no funciona así.

Sin embargo, el mundo no tiene Flying Dragons y chicas con ojos brillantes, ocupando la mitad de su cara,l para no golpear la película un peg para esto. Solo sentí que sería interesante señalar.

Los efectos visuales fueron realmente impresionante y palomitas con colores vibrantes, incluso en algunos de los valores más oscuros siempre hay algo en la pantalla a gravitar hacia. Sin embargo, encontré un par de cosas innecesarias a la parcela; me sentí como algunas escenas que había muy bien poner la cinematografía en definitiva no era una pieza importante de la historia. De hecho, se plantean cuestiones en lugar de asombro por el momento la escena era más.

Las tres mujeres que guía místico Meg en su camino: la señora que, la señora quien, y la señora. Whatsit (Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon) eran agradables a mirar, tenía buenas actrices, y me gustó cómo los tres fueron increíblemente diversa de la cultura.

La señora que fue un personaje decente, pero yo sentía que faltaba en la película. Me gustaría haber visto más de ella, porque yo me siento como yo sabía sobre ella la menos y ella fue la más maternal de las tres que habían conectado a Meg. Si bien hubo una escena donde ella habla a Meg acerca de sus inseguridades, que sólo parece pasar y ha vuelto a ser un guía turístico del mundo sobrenatural.

La señora que fue un lindo personaje, con su cita ocasional de famosas figuras que pensé que iba a ser molesto al principio, sino que fue utilizado a buen ritmo ya que no fue criado todo el tiempo a cada minuto, hablando de eso...o debería decir Whatsit.

La Sra. Whatsit menos fue mi personaje favorito de todo el elenco, lo siento por él.

No es culpa de la actriz a todos- es la secuencia de comandos- y si la versión en libro retrata la Sra. Whatsit como este, entonces no voy a considerar su lectura en cualquier momento pronto.

Lo que me molesta de este personaje es en primer lugar, recuerdo cuando me dijo que algunas escenas eran innecesarias para mí y sólo se utilizan para hacer la película más impresionante? Así, la Sra. Whatsit participa en una escena donde ella se transforma en esta hermosa criatura y hay toda esta escena de ella mostrando sus habilidades en este formulario, pero en última instancia, esto no conduce a nada. Ella ni siquiera hablar mientras ella está en esa forma, así que mi cerebro disociar la criatura de la Sra. Whatsit y me hizo pensar: "Esto no puede ser el mismo carácter."

La criatura debería haber sido sólo un carácter independiente que ayuda en la búsqueda, porque al menos si ella era prescindible me gustaría entender; ella no es un personaje principal. Pero con la criatura que la Sra. Whatsit, estoy sentado allí en el teatro como, "cambiar de vuelta! ¿Por qué no hacerlo de nuevo?" que fue una de las cosas más hermosas que he visto y sin embargo nada salió de ella.

En segundo lugar, y más importante aún, la Sra. Whatsit es simplemente un matón! Voy a tratar de abstenerse de mí mismo de despotricar, pero no se puede creer cómo enojados este personaje me hizo cuando ella estaría en la pantalla. Cuando llegó a Meg, la Sra. Whatsit solo insulto a su izquierda y derecha, dándole ninguna empatía por su situación, y conseguir que sus fallos delante de sus amigos y familiares.

Literalmente, y en un momento ella dice Meg: puntos fuertes son su freaking fallos! ¿Qué te parece? "Jen las peores cosas acerca de usted son los mejores porque no tienes buenas cualidades reales", como qué diablos?!

No estoy mirando desde el valor nominal, ¿de acuerdo? Usualmente hay algún personaje que no gusta el plomo por el motivo que sea, y les da un tiempo duro sólo para amarlos al final. Además, este tipo de personaje está hecho para ser inmaduro y tonto, pero la manera en que la Sra. Whatsit viene a través físicamente me hizo sentir enfermo.

Cuando sabe qué Meg ha atravesado, Sra. Whatsit parece un matón que favorece a todos los demás excepto Meg. Disparar, que también podría tener la Sra. Whatsit ser parte de la familia Griffin en el show, Family Guy, porque todo lo que hizo fue burlarse de Meg!

Ahora, en los tres personajes principales que soportan esta locura de viaje, comenzando por Calvin (Levi Miller), Meg del amigo. No estoy seguro de cómo se introdujo en la versión en libro, pero en la película él sólo salga de la nada, sin antecedentes en lo que él es, excepto un muchacho que tendrá un interés romántico por Meg porque es lo que todas las películas tienen cuando tienes un amigo del sexo opuesto a unirse a usted en una aventura.

Aparte de un momento rápido de él mirando Meg durante la escuela, no hay acumulación creciente a Calvino una conexión con Meg y su hermano. Su fondo es criado por otros personajes que comentar sobre él, diciendo que él es "Confiable, inteligente, popular", pero no vemos nada de esto.

Mira, no necesito tener todos estos rasgos presentes en una escena, pero al menos algo distinto de él silenciosamente mirando a alguien en el comienzo. ¿Cómo puedo saber que es confiable, inteligente y popular con eso?

Asimismo, Meg habló a Calvino al principio como ella sabía de él por un tiempo, pero mi impresión fue que ellos no sabían mutuamente hasta ese momento se conocieron poco antes de entrar en su vida-cambio de aventura. Y cuando ellos van más en la parte más profunda de la vida de Calvino (que el propio Calvino no traer) No puedo sentir que lo siento por el niño, porque él es prescindible. Pensando en ello, si usted lo lleva fuera de la historia nada se perdería.

Ahora, en el hermano pequeño de Meg, Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe), quien fue un niño de 6 años con el IQ de Einstein. Gracioso, pensé que sería alguien que odiara- al igual que la Sra. Whatsit odiado, pero él resultó ser mi personaje favorito. Usted sabe que llegó a ser? Ocurrió durante una de las escenas más inquietantes que he visto en una película infantil en mucho tiempo

me gustaría describir más a usted, pero toda la secuencia durante la gran batalla de la película incluyen un montón de Wallace y realmente ayudó al actor zapatos; yo estaba impresionado por la capacidad interina del cabrito. El único problema que tuve fue que la historia no se expanda en Wallace. Parecía que estaba llevando hasta ese, pero no sirvió de nada que me decepciona.

He guardado la protagonista femenina por último, Meg. Según lo que he leído en línea, Meg en los libros es de 12 años pero en la película parece que ella está en la escuela secundaria, así que la película definitivamente cambiado un par de detalles aquí y allá para que el personaje sea más relatable.

Si por los escritores relatable significaba miserable entonces tuvieron éxito, porque me sentía tan afligido por esta chica.

En la parte superior de la cuestión con su padre dejando y sus inseguridades derivadas de esto, ella es bombardeada con los matones en la escuela, los adultos que no tienen a su lado cuando ella se levanta por sí misma, y la Sra. Whatsit jabbing en ella con comentarios como: "Ella es muy aburrida" o "Ella no puede manejar esto."

Esta chica no ha tenido durante años su padre! Me sorprendería si algún niño estaba mentalmente estable desde que lo suficiente como para ir en esta aventura tan fuera de su zona de confort.

Lo que hace esta expulsando, peor es que hacen Calvin y Wallace todos cool acerca de viajar a través de diferentes planetas como este no es nada nuevo para ellos, así que Meg es mirado como un marginado, el que no se puede colgar con la gente cool.

¿Cómo ayudar a los niños les gusta sentirse seguros de sí mismos Meg cuando las personas necesitan ayuda de insulto a ellos también? Incluso hay un secreto acerca del padre que cambia la relación entre él y Meg drásticamente, qué tipo de empuja el hecho de que nadie entiende ni ella ni se preocupa por ella.

Además, se intentó hacer Meg a esta chica, que se cierra a la gente y lo que está haciendo mal en la escuela, pero me pareció que ella esté totalmente justificada en cada situación que ella fuera a ser de esa manera. Cómo deben haber tenido fue que presente Meg siendo indiferente a una especie de carácter y no tener interés en su trabajo escolar en lugar de ponerse de pie por sí misma cuando ella está siendo acosado y recitando diversión hechos científicos que su padre le enseñó como un niño.

Esto no era una chica distante, ella era una niña triste que hizo lo que cualquier otra persona lo haría cuando están siendo intimidados y ella no tenía derecho a ser burlado por alguna entidad espiritual diciendo que por causa de ella la aventura no es divertido y debido a sus malas cualidades que le hace especial!

A pesar de mi larga ranting, esta película no era horrible. Sí, había una pareja tuvo aversión caracteres y me sentía incómodo con todo el MEG-que golpea en la película, pero la historia era lo suficientemente interesante como para mantener mi atención, los gráficos son agradables y el actuar era bastante bueno.

Puede haber unas pocas escenas inquietantes, especialmente durante la batalla final cerca del final de la película que me tenía un poco agitado, pero nada ocurre gráfico. Esta película también tiene un bonito mensaje sobre cómo podemos ser un guerrero en la tierra y mantener la felicidad en nuestros corazones, a fin de mantener la oscuridad de nuestras vidas y la de otras personas.

Es digno de ver en los teatros? Quizás, es visualmente impresionante, así que los niños estarán interesados y no es inmaduro, con orinal humor para los adultos no se molestó.

Personalmente quiero verla de nuevo? No, porque todo el Meg-que golpea la parte realmente me molestó y dejó un mal sabor de boca. No me gustaría sentir ese dolor de nuevo. Llamarme legítimamente sensible, pero yo no quiero volver a ver una película que tiene el papel principal femenino mirando como un perdedor en la final

Eso es...simplemente errónea, la nota que ponen en el armario. Meg debería haber tomado esa nota y lo han entregado a los principales para demostrar su afirmación de que ella estaba siendo acosado.

No obtengo con los matones, no solo les importa su propio negocio? Usted está en receso, practicar algunas de animadoras.

Es ese chico Veronica del novio y él va a ser impresionado por Meg y fecha de ella?

¿A qué hora esta película? Porque ¿cómo vas a invitar a alguien que acabas de conocer a la cena?

Tormenta Reid tiene realmente bonito cabello. Ella es una muchacha hermosa.

Charles Wallace es parte de este mundo sobrenatural? ¿Por qué ha sido tan calma alrededor de la Sra. Whatsit?

"Hay oscuridad en esta casa" La Sra. Whatsit se refería a Meg, como grosero.

Bueno, la Sra. Whatsit. Usted está consiguiendo en mi último nervio. Usted sabe la misión de ustedes, no me importa si es tu primera misión. Esto es una niña que está deprimido porque su padre ha estado fuera de su vida durante 4 años. Mostrar algunos freaking compasivo, por el amor de Dios. "Estoy underwhelmed [por Meg]" oh yeah? Bueno, yo estoy abrumado por sus constantes lloriqueos!

Que es un hermoso diseño de la Sra. Whatsit como dama de la planta, pero es que va a ser? Sólo su vuelo alrededor? Ella no habla incluso, cuál era el punto en que?

Puedo obtener algo Charles Wallace tener ningún problema, pero aún no tiene ningún problema con Calvino atravesando la tesseract? ¿Por qué es esta película tratando tan duro para hacer Meg ser marginados?

Lo que la Sra. que dice a Meg era hermoso. El conjunto "tardó muchos años para hacer esto usted" discurso. Voy a recordar que cuando estoy sintiendo hacia abajo.

La escena con los niños jugando con la pelota fuera era realmente genial, sin embargo, no fue necesario. También hace que los personajes se ven tonto posteriormente con la Escena de playa cuando Wallace es lavado el cerebro. Los niños con la pelota escena mostraba cómo el grupo no debería confiar en nadie, incluso anunciar esta como dejan el lugar, pero luego a la derecha después de que inmediatamente hablar con alguien que dice que sabe donde Meg y Wallace es papá.

Así que Wallace es parte de su mundo sobrenatural? Es él el verdadero villano? Eso sería tan impresionante!

"Ella es una mejor versión de ti" no me gusta usar esta palabra, pero me parece digno de lo que estoy a punto de decir. Esta película está desencadenando a mí. Muchas de las declaraciones dijo acerca de Meg e incluso de lo que ella más tarde dice sobre sí misma, diciendo a la gente no le gusta a ella y a veces ella odia a sí misma, que es profunda. Tan profunda, sólo quería dejar el teatro y tomar aire fresco.

Esta es la primera vez que he visto Wallace miedo o triste. Ojalá hubiera más de eso, ya que aparentemente no tiene ninguna relación con este mundo sobrenatural, y usted sabe, él es 6 años.

¿Cómo Calvin y el papá salir de allí por sí mismos?

En este punto, me gustaría ninguna relación con el papá! Sacar la parte de fantasía, es un padre que deliberadamente abandonado a sus hijos. Si yo fuera Meg, yo todavía ser decepcionado. Me gustaría crecer sabiendo mi papá me dejó de experimentar algún mundo sobrenatural y tuve que sacar de él porque él no era lo suficientemente inteligente como para escapar. Se trata de algún mensaje para los niños que los padres les dejó? Que incluso si vinieron de nuevo, han hecho mal por usted y no todo es perfecto? Si es así, ¿por qué, entonces, al final de la película, todo lo demás es una imagen perfecta?!

Es la madre que no va a preguntar donde el padre ha sido durante todos estos años? Asimismo, en realidad estaría dating o casado con alguien por este punto.

Eso fue bueno, los niños sólo abrazados. Eso es realmente muy bonito que aunque hubo un romance incipiente no me beso.

También lo es de todos los habitantes de la tierra buena gente ahora? Es que el mensaje? Encontrar a su padre, que quiso dejar a la familia, obligarlo nuevamente dentro de su vida, y convierte a la mayoría de los intimidadores en dulce mal la gente? Eso es realmente ilógico.

The mystical story of, "A Wrinkle in Time" began as a quintet of children's books about a young girl on the search for her father, along with her little brother and a good friend of hers tagging along for the ride. Through this journey, they are guided by three equally odd and comforting female figures that help define this story as its own original piece. 

This is all that I have gathered from reading a brief summary about the books because I've never read any of them before; for this review I really wanted to gain a sense of what the original story was about so that way if there were major differences presented in the movie that I felt was unnecessary, I can be at least a bit worthy of commenting on that. Regardless, I haven't gone in depth with the books so any fans reading this, there won't be any mention of comparisons unless absolutely necessary.

I wanted to put that out there just to inform you that I don't want to sound like I know the ins-and-outs of this 1962 series; overall I was just a moviegoer that had no expectations for this fantasy children's movie. The most I knew was that Oprah Winfrey was going to be starring in it, so I looked forward to her appearance; she's a pretty great actress considering her previous work. However, the movie cannot stand on one actress' abilities alone, so there was room for failure and I was ready for anything.

So, did, "A Wrinkle in Time" amaze me with its spectacular plot or did it drive me to wishing this movie was never created on Earth?

Like the books, the film's plot centered around a young girl named Meg Murray (Storm Reid) who is searching for her father, Dr. Alex Murray (Chris Pine) who's been missing for a few years. Throughout the journey, Meg not only focuses on getting her father back, but also learns about the value of loving herself and how important she is to her family. 

I believe the plot holds up well on the big screen and has a strong message for viewers that talks about the power of love and what negative power darkness can hold within ourselves. 

In the movie, darkness is basically referred to as any bad emotion or action that overcomes us, like jealously. The villain itself is an embodiment of darkness, as there is no true form of this entity, thereby furthering the statement that darkness can control anyone and it is up to us to push past that in order to do right by our world.

I found that to be a huge moral to tackle, but it was done well. I didn't have an issue understanding what characters meant by defeating the darkness, although I had a tiny problem with the implications they were making about it. 

Characters would say things like, "if you fight to defeat the darkness in yourself, you can change it in other people," and by the end, you can tell that some characters have automatically transformed into kinder human beings. 

I get that it's a fantasy movie so I'm not upset about this idea, but more concerned that kids might apply that to the real world, thinking, "If I behave well, then the boy that always hits me during recess will behave well too!" because unfortunately, the world doesn't work like that. 

Yet, the world also doesn't have flying dragons and girls with shiny eyes taking up half of their face,l so I won't knock the movie down a peg for this. I just felt it'd be interesting to point out.

The visual effects were really stunning and popped with vibrant colors, even during some of the more darker settings there was always something on screen to gravitate towards. Yet, I found a couple of things to be unnecessary to the plot; I felt like some scenes that had very well put cinematography ultimately wasn't an important piece to the story. In fact, they brought up questions rather than astonishment by the time the scene was over.

The three mystical woman who guide Meg on her journey: Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Whatsit (Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon) were nice to look at, had good actresses, and I enjoyed how the three were incredibly diverse in culture. 

Mrs. Which was a decent character but I felt like she was lacking in the movie. I wish I could've seen more of her, because I feel like I knew about her the least and she was the most motherly out of the three who had connected to Meg. While there was a scene where she speaks to Meg about her insecurities, it just seems to pass by and she's back to being a tour guide of the supernatural world. 

Mrs. Who was a cute character, with her occasional quoting of famous figures that I thought was going to be annoying at first, but it was used at a good pace since it wasn't brought up all the time at every minute, speaking of which...or should I say Whatsit.

Mrs. Whatsit was my least favorite character out of the whole cast, sorry about it. 

It's not the actress' fault at all- it's the script- and if the book version depicts Mrs. Whatsit like this then I will not consider reading them anytime soon. 

What bothers me about this character is first off, remember when I said some scenes were unnecessary to me and only used for making the movie more stunning? Well, Mrs. Whatsit is involved in a scene where she transforms into this beautiful creature and there's this whole scene of her showing off her abilities in this form, but ultimately this leads to nothing. She doesn't even speak while she is in that form, so it made my brain dissociate the creature from Mrs. Whatsit and made me think, "This cannot be the same character." 

The creature should have just been a separate character who helps on the quest, because at least if she was expendable I'd understand; she's not a major character. But with the creature being Mrs. Whatsit, I'm sitting there in the theater like, "Change back! Why don't you do that again?" That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen and yet nothing came out of it.

Secondly, and most importantly, Mrs. Whatsit is just a bully! I'll try to refrain myself from ranting, but you cannot believe how angry this character made me when she would be on screen. When it came to Meg, Mrs. Whatsit would just insult her left and right, giving her no empathy for her situation, and bringing up her faults in front of her friends and family. 

Literally, at one point she says Meg's strengths are her freaking faults! How does that sound? "Jen, the worst things about you are the best because you have no real good qualities," like what the heck?!

I'm not looking at it from face value, okay? There's usually some character that doesn't like the lead for whatever reason and gives them a hard time only to love them in the end. Plus, this sort of character is made out to be immature and silly, but the way Mrs. Whatsit comes across made me physically feel sick. 

When you know what Meg has gone through, Mrs. Whatsit looks like a bully who favors everyone else except Meg. Shoot, you might as well have Mrs. Whatsit be a part of the Griffin family from the show, Family Guy, because all she did was make fun of Meg!

Now onto the three main characters who endure this crazy journey, starting with Calvin (Levi Miller), Meg's friend. I'm not sure how he's introduced into the book version, but in the movie he just pops out of nowhere with no background into who he is, except a boy who'll have a romantic interest in Meg because that's what all movies have when you have a friend of the opposite sex join you on an adventure. 

Aside from a quick moment of him looking at Meg during school, there is no build up to Calvin growing a connection with Meg and her brother. His background is brought up by other characters who comment on him, saying that he is, "trustworthy, smart, popular" but we don't see any of this. 

Look, I don't need to have all of these traits be present in one scene, but at least something other than him silently looking at someone in the beginning. How can I tell he is trustworthy, smart, and popular with that? 

Also, Meg spoke to Calvin in the beginning like she knew him for a while but my impression was that they didn't know each other until that moment they met shortly before going on their life-changing adventure. And when they go more into the deeper part of Calvin's life (that Calvin himself doesn't bring up) I can't feel that sorry for the kid, because he's expendable. Thinking back on it, if you take him out of the story nothing would be lost. 

Now onto Meg's little brother, Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) who was a 6-year old boy with the IQ of Einstein. Funny thing, I thought he would be someone that I hated- like Mrs. Whatsit hated, but he turned out to be my favorite character. You know how that came to be? It happened during one of the most disturbing scenes I've seen in a children's movie in a long time. 

I wish I could describe it more to you, but the whole sequence during the major battle of the movie included a lot of Wallace and it really helped the actor shine; I was impressed by the kid's acting ability. I could tell that he loved being the character, how he relished in being so exuberant with his role. I wish a nice future for him in the acting world because I spot great potential.

The only problem I had was that the story did not expand on Wallace. Judging from his character and how intelligent he is and how comfortable he was with the three guides, I thought somehow he'd be an entity as well- not human. It felt like it was leading up to that, but nothing came of it which made me disappointed.

I saved the female lead for last, Meg. According to what I've read online, Meg in the books is 12-years old but in the movie it appears she's in high school, so the movie definitely changed a couple details here and there in order for the character to be more relatable. 

If by relatable the writers meant pitiful then they succeeded, because I felt so sorry for this girl. 

On top of the issue with her father leaving and her insecurities stemming from that, she is bombarded with bullies at school, adults who don't take her side when she stands up for herself, and Mrs. Whatsit jabbing at her with comments like, "She's too boring" or "She can't handle this." 

This girl has not had her father for years! I would be surprised if any child was mentally stable from that enough to go on this adventure so out of her comfort zone. 

What makes this ostracizing worse is that they make Calvin and Wallace all cool about traveling through different planets like this is nothing new for them, so Meg is looked at like an outcast, the one who can't hang with the cool people. 

How does it help kids like Meg feel confident about themselves when the people they need help from insult them as well? There's even a secret about the father that changes the relationship between him and Meg drastically, which kind of pushes the fact that no one either understands her or cares about her.

Additionally, they tried to make Meg out to be this girl who shuts people out and is doing badly in school, but I found her to be completely justified in every situation that made her out to be that way. How they should have had it was that they present Meg being dismissive to a kind character and not having interest in her school work instead of standing up for herself when she is being bullied and spouting fun scientific facts her father taught her as a child. 

This was not a standoffish girl, she was a sad girl who did what any other person would do when they're being bullied and she had no right to be mocked by some spiritual entity saying that because of her the adventure isn't fun and because of her bad qualities that makes her special!

Despite my long ranting, this movie was not horrible. Yes, it had a couple unlikable characters and I was feeling uncomfortable with all the Meg-bashing in the movie, but the story was interesting enough to keep my attention, the visuals were nice and the acting was pretty good. 

There might be a few disturbing scenes, especially during the final battle near the end of the movie that had me a little shaken, but nothing graphic occurs. This film also has a nice message about how we can be a warrior on Earth and keep happiness in our hearts in order to keep the darkness out of our and other people's lives. 

Is it worth seeing in theaters? Perhaps, it's visually stunning so the kids will be interested and it's not immature with potty humor so the adults won't be annoyed. 

Would I personally watch it again? No, because the whole Meg-bashing part really made me upset and left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't want to feel that pain again. Call me sensitive, but I legitimately don't want to re-watch a movie that has the female lead looking like a loser in the end.

I give, "A Wrinkle in Time" a 3 out of 5 stars.

That's...just wrong, the note they put on the locker. Meg should have taken that note and given it to the principal to prove her point that she was being bullied.

I don't get it with bullies, can't they just mind their own business? You're at recess, practice some cheerleading.

Is that boy Veronica's boyfriend and he's going to be impressed by Meg and date her?

What time does this movie take place? Because how are you going to invite someone you just met to dinner?

Storm Reid does have really pretty hair. She's a beautiful girl.

Is Charles Wallace a part of this supernatural world? Why else would he been so calm around Mrs. Whatsit?

"There is darkness in this house" Mrs. Whatsit was referring to Meg, like, rude.

Oprah, our beautiful giant leader! Bow down to the queen!

Okay, Mrs. Whatsit. You are getting on my last nerve. You know the mission you are on, I don't care if it's your first mission. This is a little girl who is depressed because her father has been out of her life for 4 years. Show some freaking compassionate, for God's sake. "I'm underwhelmed [by Meg]" oh yeah? Well, I'm overwhelmed by your constant whining!

That is a beautiful design of Mrs. Whatsit as the plant lady, but is that going to be it? Just her flying around? She didn't even talk, what was the point in that?

I can somewhat get Charles Wallace having no problem, but even Calvin has no problem with going through the tesseract? Why is this movie trying so hard to make Meg be the outcast?

What Mrs. Which said to Meg was beautiful. The whole "it took this many years to make you" speech. I'm going to remember that when I'm feeling down.

Is that Zach Galafinakas? *looks it up* It is!

So basically, the ladies are saying because of your wish to find your dad, you might just kill us all. Get the hell out of here! This is complete bull! I am sick of this girl being put down for having totally natural feelings!

Please don't kiss. Please don't kiss. It'll make me uncomfortable.

The scene with the kids playing with the ball outside was really cool, however it wasn't necessary. It also makes the characters look dumb later on with the beach scene when Wallace is brainwashed. The kids with the ball scene showed how the group shouldn't trust anybody, they even announce this as they leave the place, but then right after that they immediately talk to someone who says they know where Meg and Wallace's dad is.

So Wallace is a part of their supernatural world? Is he the true villain? That would be so awesome!

That kid is living for this role! He brought a smile to my face.

How did the dad eat and look nice for 4 years in that hallway?

So the dad did abandon Meg and Wallace? Well that puts a damper on this whole rescue mission.

"She's a better version of you" I hate to use this word, but I find it worthy of what I'm about to say. This movie is triggering to me. A lot of the statements said about Meg and even what she later says about herself saying people don't like her and sometimes she hates herself, that is deep. I got chills seeing Meg tossed around by those tentacle things. I can see how this can be scary for a child.

This is the first time I've seen Wallace afraid or sad. I wish there was more of that, since apparently he has no connection to this supernatural world, and you know, he's 6-years old.

How did Calvin and the dad get out of there by themselves?

At this point, I'd want no relationship with the dad! Take out the fantasy part, this is a father who purposely abandoned his kids. If I were Meg, I'd still be disappointed. I'd grow up knowing my dad left me to experiment some supernatural world and I had to get him back because he wasn't smart enough to escape. Is this some message to children who's parent left them? That even if they came back, they have done wrong by you and no everything is picture perfect? If so, then why at the end of the movie everything else is picture perfect?!

Is the mother not going to ask where the father has been all these years? Also, in reality she'd be dating or married to someone else by this point.

That was nice, the kids only hugged. That's actually very nice that although there was some romance budding, they didn't kiss.

So is everyone on Earth good people now? Is that the message? Find your father who wanted to leave the family, force him back into your life, and turn even the most evil bullies into sweet people? That's really illogical.
